Zee TV show Meet is soon going on-air and the audience cannot wait to watch the show as it not only brings a fresh pairing of Ashi Singh and Shagun Pandey but the concept of the show is also very unique.
The show is touted to be a remake of popular Bengali show Bokul Kotha. It is a story of Meet, a tomboyish girl, who looks after all the responsibilities of her family. After much drama and confusion, she gets married to Rishi who has rejected around 40 women already.
The makers have already released the first promo which features Ashi Singh. Produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions, the cast boasts of Shagun Pandey, Ashi Singh, Vaishnavi Macdonald, Sooraj Thapar, Aditya Rao Nuniwall among others.
Riyanka Chanda shared, “It is amazing, this is the first time I am working with Shashi Sumeet Production and we are all like a family, this is one of the best production houses I worked so far and entire unit have food together and everybody is awesome and there is a bunch of positivity. I’ve not worked with this production before so that was the major reason and to me I was said that the character likes to dress very much and my husband is not with me, whether he is alive or dead but this girl you’ll see her with full sindoor, mangalsutra.”
Speaking about the bond that she shares with the leads of the show, Ashi Singh and Shagun Pandey, she shared, “I know Ashi since some time now and I play Shagun’s sister-in-law, so off the sets we keep sharing some laughs every now and then.”
Speaking about working with senior actors like Sooraj Thapar and Vaishnavi Macdonald in the show, Riyanka shared, “We are like family on the set. If there are any ups and downs during the shot they’ll come and tell you after the shots and I am talking about Sooraj Sir here, and then he’ll literally explain you. And the way he acts is fab.”
Talking about her look in the show, she averred, “It’s always the heavy floor length anarkalis with pretty dupatta and the mangalsutra is my specular thing and big heavy earrings and heavy bangles in one hand and one stone bindi and long beautiful hair, it’s a very pretty Indian girl type of a look. One thing that relates to my character is that I like to dress in personal life also, however, my personal style would be wearing hooded tshirts , cool denims or short dresses with sport shoes.”
