Karan Singh Grover is a heartthrob of the nation. The handsome hunk is popularly known for the successful portrayal of roles in shows like Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay both season 1 and 2, Princess Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag, Solhah Singaarr among others.
However, shows like Dill Mill Gayye and Qubool Hai made him the television sensation. Karan Singh Grover’s growing popularity catapulted him from television to the world of movies. He has appeared in a few movies so far and the actor is hoping to conquer the film industry as well with his charm.
However, his work in Bollywood didn’t do wonders for him, the way TV had years ago. In the past five years, the actor was seen only in a couple of releases, including Alone and Hate Story 3. But that has not made him take a step back.
In fact, Karan, who is married to Bollywood’s bombshell Bipasha Basu, has tasted success with his digital projects.
He says, “I feel like my journey in films hasn’t started yet!”
The Qubool Hai actor further said, “I have been very selective about my work. If a project comes to me and if it doesn’t excite me or make me feel that it won’t be any different from what I have done earlier, then I feel that I won’t be able to portray the role the way I am supposed to. Thus, my audience will not get to see the performance that they want to see.”
Karan also blames himself for being less focused, but he promises that things are gradually changing. He shares, “Frankly, I have been a little less driven towards getting more movies. Having said that, I must mention things are changing with me. Over a period of time, I have changed and there should be a lot more coming from me.”
Ask him what are the genres that he is looking at exploring, and he is quick to add, “Well, I don’t want to name any genre in particular, as then again, I will be limiting myself to just one thing. I just want to be a part of good content that people would want to watch.”
