Apparently, not many actors were comfortable with being roasted on national television.
As already reported, Colors’ Comedy Nights Bachao is all set to bid good bye to the viewers to only return with a second season. But sadly, the show will now be REVAMPED on the lines of Comedy Circus.
This means that India’s FIRST and only roast comedy show has been done away with by the makers. And the reason is that apparently, many actors were not comfortable with being roasted on national television.
And no, we are not saying this. Actor Krushna Abhishek was quoted as saying so, in a leading newspaper. He added that he wanted actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar to grace his show. Akshay Kumar refused to come on the show to promote his recently released film Rustom.
With the new format, have come along a few new changes as well. The new and revamped season will be similar to what we saw in Comedy Circus and will be completely positive.
We had yesterday reported about how actress Mona Singh was approached to be a part of the second season of Comedy Nights Bachao. But now, Mona will be seen hosting the show. Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh will only be seen as a part of gigs.
Speaking about Mona’s hosting, Krushna is all praises for her hosting skills and feels that Mona is a good host.
And after names like Nia Sharma and Aditi Bhatia came out, a few other faces like Ssharad Malhotra, Sumeet Vyas and Gujarati stand-up comedian Mayank will all be seen in the show’s season 2 which will air from 25th September, stated the newspaper report.
