business degree exclusively brings it to you that Indian actor Akshay Oberoi will star in the cricket-based drama. The 33-year-old actor plays a pivotal role in the original which is still not known.
The actor known for his smouldering looks and acting skills has a successful experience on the digital platform. Oberoi, a father of one, was seen in acclaimed digital series such as It’s Not That Simple and The Test Case. However, bagging this show will definitely tantamount to an impactful CV for the hazel-eyed lad.
The narrative of the project revolves around 14-year-old Manju who is destined for cricket greatness. However, trivially he hates cricket. The story will take the viewers through the journey of Manju and his older brother and fellow cricket star, Radha.
We are still unaware of Oberoi’s character details. However, a reliable source confirms the actor, who was last seen in 2018’s Kaalakandi, being a part of the ambitious project.
In a statement to media, Anil Kapoor, who is producing the project said, “Selection Day is sweeping in its scope and the range of themes it covers- from the highs and lows of sport, to the passion and relationships of its protagonists. Translating this story into a medium that offers freedom, flexibility and the opportunity to relate to millions of people around the world is an incredibly exciting endeavour for me.”
We couldn’t reach out to Akshay Oberoi for his comment on the same.
