Stars are swearing by the rich look and feel of this regal fabric..

For this season’s festivities, ditch the heavy hand embroideries and machine made borders, for Banarasi brocade fabric is back. Probably your Mom already has a Banarasi sari in her closet that you could re-purpose. This intricately woven brocade fabric gives out the feeling that it actually is embroidery while it is a heavy woven material made to look that way. Not just does every Indian mother swear by its opulence, the Mughal royals were also immensely in love with Banarasi Jamawar. Brocade famously known as Banarsi brocade is woven using gold and silver silken threads, named after the city Banaras (Varanasi, India), where it is famously made.
