MUMBAI: The week ending 26 May. That’s when the curtains will come down on &TV’s romantic drama Bado Bahu. Produced by Sunny Side Up Films and Hum Tum Telefilms, the show was launched on 12 September 2016.
It tells the tale of a very good natured overweight girl Badho – played by Singapore born girl Rytasha Rathore who was initially afraid to act on TV – and her journey through life with her husband Lakhan “Lucky” Singh Ahlawat (played by Big Boss winner Prince Narula).
Recently, to boost the TRPs, the show introduced a new character called Sushma Bua. The role is essayed by the veteran actor Jaya Bhattacharya. Even though she plays the social worker in the show, her deeds are not noble enough. She coaxes Lucky- who is estranged from Badho – to marry another girl Titli (played by Kannika Mann). Additionally, she constantly tries to create a rift between Lucky and Badho.
Apparently, the story has wound up and the producers and the channel don’t want to continue the show, say sources.
