News

Ever since the 13th season of Bigg Boss was concluded, a section of fans started anticipating Khatron Ke Khiladi. The celebs and host Rohit Shetty are all set to entertain the audience with some jaw-dropping stunts. Ahead of the premier of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, actor-host Rohit Bose Roy, who will be competing in the show this year, discussed his strategy, lifestyle changes for KKK13 and more in an exclusive chat with Tvglobe. Here are excerpts:

Which of the past contestants do you admire? And, why?

Sidharth Shukla, god bless his soul. He is somebody I admire because he was a typical Khatron Ke Khiladi contestant. He was tough and he did all the stunts very well. Karan Patel again. I named him again and again because he also looked like he was having fun. He might not have reached the end, but he’s somebody who’s extremely fit and energetic. And he also has a very positive mindset. I think that’s something that all contestants this year should take from his book.

What is the strategy for approaching the challenges on the show?

I think this show will require more mental fortitude and peace. If my mind is addressed, if I’m comfortable in the space that I am in, I’ll be able to do a lot better in the stunts given to me. If I am nervous to start with, I won’t be able to pull it off. So I think there is no strategy. The only strategy is to stay calm and stay calm and stay calm.

What kind of changes have you made to your lifestyle to prepare for the show?

I am eating well, I’m working out. In real life, I’m exactly the same. There are times when I skipped the gym. However, I’ve not been doing that for the last two weeks since I said, yes. I’ve been in the gym, I’ve been in the pool, I’ve been doing all my stretches, everything properly so that my body is ready when I go there.

How will you deal with your criticism or feedback from the host?

I’ll deal with it like any other contestant because I’ve been a host. So I know that when a host really tells you something, he means it because it doesn’t make any difference to him at all. So if Rohit (Shetty) is going to tell me something, he’s saying it for my benefit. I’d be really stupid not to look at it closely and take away something positive from his criticism. And, I hope that he does tell me because he’s a master of his craft. If anybody can give me constructive criticism, other than my stunt masters, it will be Rohit.

Lastly, what can your fans expect from you on the show?

Fans can expect a lot of goodwill, a lot of entertainment, a lot of good stunts and my 100% commitment to doing so. I’m going to enjoy myself, but I also have to make sure that they enjoy watching me on screen.
